Born out of the late night, cider-fueled, sing-a-longs in the Nag's Head bar at Twinwood Vintage Music Festival in 2013 and 2014, Carradine's Cockney Sing-a-long was launched in the Mahogany Bar at Wilton's Music Hall in October 2014. Tom Carradine, pianist with Champagne Charlie and the Bubbly Boys and regular accompanist on the London cabaret circuit, decided that he wanted to bring the atmosphere and joyous community singing of the Twinwood sing-a-longs to London, and so created this monthly event. Carradine’s Cockney Sing-a-long is now playing sell-out monthly dates in the main auditorium at Wilton’s, monthly dates at Scallywag Cafe Bar in Tunbridge Wells and Emporium in Brighton and he's now coming to his home town of Coventry and Coventry's own Co-operative Theatre. So if you're Leaning on a Lamppost or Singin' in the Rain, but you Ain't Got a Barrel of Money, don't go Down to the Woods Today or Sit Under the Apple Tree, just Pack up your Troubles in Your Old Kit Bag, pick your Knees Up Mother Brown and join us for a fun filled night out.
Congratulations to Christina Smith for winning this years Ben Parker Cup for the youth group.
